Aerolineas Argentinas was in need of a partner to manage its key systems and the associated information technology to ensure operations and good performance during the company's growth while transforming the application systems and implementing SAP successfully.

 

 

Solution

Advision formed a team specialized in supporting the aix systems where the most critical applications of the company ran, including a websphere-based transaction system that connects the company's systems with the SABRE world reserves system, and a system for recording conversations from pilot cabins using a highly sophisticated database management, among others. Our team helped the client to scale in more routes and more transactions supported by applications running in IBM Power Systems and virtualized, intel infrastructure supported by IBM Spectrum Protect.

The client also required us to assist him in developing applications for Informix 4GL and consulting   to implement SAP for the modules FI (finance), CO (controlling), MM (materials management) and SD (sales & distribution) and ABAP.

 

Results

The company was able to grow in number of cabotage and international destinations while transforming its processes and systems to adapt them to the new business challenges.
