Banco Macro processes up to 350 banking transactions per second, its core system runs on IBM Power with COBIS and Sybase, has an extensive SAP installation and a multivendor technology environment

 

 

Challenge

The bank had a large number of transactions for overnight batch processing, which - and unpredictably - could be extended in time to the next day and disable the start of transaction services for customer service in branches. The impact of the problem could be catastrophic for its image, and forced the bank to operate in contingency mode to secure the attention to its customers.

 

 

Solution

Advision formed a team to analyze the problem, developing specific agents and monitors for the internal AIX system, networks, applications and data. Thousands of indicators were collected for weeks, to then apply data analysis and analysis technologies to diagnose the problem and find the solution. We work to fine-tune many of your internal AIX components, your communications technologies, application developers, the Sybase engine settings and we also determine the features of the new IBM Power high end to install, to ensure your operations in the future.
